Screen and Page

Screen&Page

In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction books that have movie adaptations based on them. I also like to read non-fiction books and watch TED talks or videos from authors. Both are great for entertainment and learning. If you also love reading and watching films, consider joining in!

Fantastic Fiction – The Screen and Page book discussion has a focus on fiction films and the books they are based on. See the Screen and Page Pinterest Board and lists at IMDB for ideas for fantastic fiction books to read and films to watch. Join at Goodreads and Facebook if you love discussing movies based on fiction books. See a Keep It Super Simple Book Discussion for information on running a book group.

Fabulous Non-Fiction – If you love learning and personal growth, try reading books and watching TED talks by amazing speakers. The nonprofit organization TED (which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design) has been sharing videos of presentations since 1984. The spreadsheet at the TED Talk Book Discussion page links to the speaker/author at TED when available, and an Amazon affiliate link to the book, which provides a small commission to help maintain the Daily PlanIt website. The final column has links to the video at TED.com when available, or at Youtube.

More Great Reads – find more fabulous non-fiction books and films that are transformative and life changing. Many Great Reads help to learn skills to make Good Shift Happen.  Check out the Great Reads Pinterest board and see a printable list of Great Reads.

Youtube Videos

Videos at the Daily PlanIt Youtube channel describe the GTD mini-system, a paper planner for the weekly review, and how to handle repeating tasks. Daily PlanIt posts with videos: learn how to map your values, watch videos to learn about goal setting and productivity, and more.
